Bloom and blooms

Hi there!

I hope you are all having an amazing Spring ( or Fall, if you are “down under”). We have had an incredible amount of RAIN. I think we had measurable rainfall for 11 (ELEVEN!) days in a row!  It of course made all the trees and bushes pop out and everything is looking very lush and tropical.

Spring tends to be a very busy time for our family, and especially so this year with our oldest boy graduating. This past week we celebrated Mother’s Day( I got spoiled with some nice new plants and a yummy breakfast!),

and we were busy prepping for Prom by renting  a tux, weeding, cleaning, and buying food and decorations( do you notice the chocolate bark in the picture? Oh yes, I made some for these poor unsuspecting  kids and their parents who came to our house to take pictures!) Luckily the rain dried up in time for some gorgeous pictures….

Because of all these happenings my quilt room has been very lonely! I did manage to make the latest BLOOM block and have my rows all sewn together. Just one more row to go and then it will be complete!

I really need to get going on son’s graduation quilt! Most of the blocks are done, but they need to be sewn together and quilted and I have less than a month to go! Any volunteers out there?? Ha! That project has been moved to the top of my list, obviously. Fingers crossed that I get to sneak into my quilt room this week and get some good work done.

I am going to close with  some pretty pictures of a neighborhood we walked last weekend…..beautiful yards and houses, too nice not to share! Have a great weekend everyone, and happy crafting!

  1. Your son is very handsome, the quilt looks amazing, glad you were spoilt on Mothers Day, so was I. How lucky are we? Love those beautiful gardens and homes. Thanks for taking the time to share. G
