Merry Christmas!

Hi friends!

Just a quick post to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I hope you all enjoy a relaxing, lovely time, with maybe some nice crafty time thrown in?! 060

I want to thank you for following my blog this past year…it has been so much fun for me to write it, and to have people sign up to follow along has been super exciting and humbling! I hope you will continue to follow along as I try and create a healthy balance between family, home,  work, and quilting ( not necessarily in that order~HA!) in 2017. No more fabric diet~ WOOHOO!~ but I do plan to continue to be a little more mindful of what I’m spending my money on….do I really need another book?! I also plan to continue the giveaways…they are not big, but isn’t it so much fun to get a little something in the mail that isn’t a bill?! If you have any thoughts on what you would like to see more ( or less) of, please let me know in the comments. I will take your suggestions into careful consideration.

Sooo, because this is a crazy season, filled with decorating, baking, shopping, and hanging out with the family,

Christmas tree all done up!

I have not really had time to do many crafty things…as a matter of fact I turned my machine on for the first time in a week on Tuesday! ( I am glad I remembered how to use it :0). My sewing room is one giant mess, with half done projects, lists, gifts that need wrapping, and more, so I REALLY need to get in there and just clean it up. Even I can’t work in that chaos! Maybe after Christmas……right now I just want to follow the example of our Border Collie:014

I thought I’d share links to a few items that I have been busy making. The first is a neck pillow ( so handy for naptime on long drives). captureThe tutorial is super easy and this thing sews up so fast! I made one, but am thinking of making a whole bunch for next year! Click here for that video tutorial.

The other thing I made were these fabric bookmarks. Also SO easy and next year everyone might receive a fabric bookmark from me ( I made my fabric match the recipient’s interests/hobbies).captuFor the video tutorial click here. I didn’t even quilt mine but just let the cute fabric do the talking!

Finally I would like to share one more blog that I ADORE! It is a Dutch blog, but you can translate or just drool over the beautiful pictures.

The writer does EVERYTHING by HAND…Yep, she does! I love her quilts and I love her blog, you really should go check it out sometime! Click here to see more.

039I wish you all the happiest of holidays!
