Good morning everyone!
I thought I would write up a quick blog post this morning to catch you up on some projects AND to reveal the material you will need for the FREE christmas ornament that I will be revealing this coming Monday…..
….instead I made the mistake of opening my email and finding a lovely blog post that lead to another blog post, and then another, and then some free patterns that I just had to print off…..you get the picture! So here we are 45 minutes later and I’m finally getting down to work…naughty me!
Alright, down to business now :). Things have been busy as I have been working on lots of different projects! The challenge this month in the facebook group is to make a quilted postcard! We have even decided to do a swap because a lot of people were interested in doing that…FUN, FUN, FUN! ( If you would like to join in, please do!). Other than the postcard I have been working on some Bee Happy blocks:
And I finally finished putting together this quilt top!I will be sharing the tutorial and the pattern for this in an upcoming blog post!
As you may or may not know, October marks the halfway mark for Kristie ( www.Teadoddles.com) and my FREE Christmas ornament sew-along. We are having so much fun designing these ornaments and hope that you are enjoying them too! To celebrate the halfway point ( and Kristie’s 40th birthday!) we are having a giveaway of 2 Fat Quarter bundles! I will share more details about this giveaway on Monday, but I wanted you to know that if you want a chance to win one of these, we are asking that you complete BOTH ornaments this month and post a picture of them. My ornament will be revealed on Monday ( October 23rd), but you could get started on Kristie’s ornament already. You can click here to go directly to Kristie’s post. And here is my version of Kristie’s ornament…isn’t he cute?! Visit our facebook group to see more versions…there is even a beach gingerbread man!
If you would like to gather your supplies for my ornament, here is the list:
- 2 5-inch pieces of fabric ( one brown, the other whatever color you desire)
- 1 5-inch piece of batting
- white and black embroidery floss
- 2 little buttons
- a 10 inch piece of wire, ribbon, or jute
That’s it! I will see you back here on Monday for the ornament reveal….have a great rest of the week and happy creating!
