Merry Christmas Eve

old-fashioned-christmas-Just a quick blog post to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! This morning I got up super early…it was still dark out and everyone was still asleep , so I took advantage and turned on only the Christmas tree lights and just sat and enjoyed. Christmas treeI love sitting and reflecting on the year, and thinking about what the year ahead will bring. Lots of changes ahead for our family, with a new job for my husband, a move to a new town and a new home, our daughter moving out and getting her own place, and our third child going off to college. Some of those changes I am looking forward to, and others not so much! But that is life. So I was glad to have a change to just sit and enjoy the moment.Christmas village

I want to thank all of you for following me on my blogging journey. I started this blog exactly 2 years ago on December 31st! I don’t know why I wanted to start writing a blog~there are so many out there already, who needs another one?~but I have so enjoyed writing a little bit every week, not just about quilting, but about family life also. For those of you who have been followers from the start, thank you so much, and for those of you who have just found me, welcome, I hope you will find this to be a friendly place to come and visit once in a while.church

I hereby wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas!

  5. I have just found your blog recently, and I love your quilting creations. Would you have a pattern for the baby chick that is at the top of your page, or where I might find one? Thanks! Lynda Adair
